I have served as a document examiner for law enforcement, a District Attorney’s Office, and an Auditor-Controller’s Office.I have prior expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.I am an experienced forensic document examiner expert witness with more than 25 years in the field.My expertise includes handwriting, typewriting, the authenticity of signatures, alterations in documents, the significance of inks and papers, photocopying processes, printing processes, writing instruments, sequence of writing, other elements of a document relative to its authenticity or spuriousness, and deciphering of obliteration and indentation.This examination includes the analysis and comparison of handwriting, hand printing, typewriting, commercial printing processes, photocopies, paper, inks, and other documentary evidence.These examinations determine identity, source, authenticity, alterations, additions, deletions, or other germane issues.Signature verification expert witnesses may be utilized for various civil cases, as signed documents are often at the center of complex litigation.Signature verification expert consulting may provide insight into cases requiring document examination, as well as ink analysis, altered documents, handwriting analysis, and other possible details found within legal documents and other important texts.

My expertise includes digital evidence examinations, mobile device extractions/acquisitions, authorship and/or authenticity examinations of handwriting and hand printing, typewriters, computer-generated documents, obliterations/alterations, indented writing physical matches (Electrostatic Detection Apparatus, ESDA), charred documents, and restorations.These skills may also be applied to signature and handwriting identification of historical documents, documents involved with real estate transactions, and issues with counterfeiting.Signature verification expert witnesses may also be called upon to provide an expert opinion regarding the validity of threatening documents, such as threatening letters or other such writings, which can be used to identify criminal activity by matching an individual with the handwriting on the document question.My examinations include, but are not limited to, microscopic, Ultraviolet (UV) and Infrared (IR) analysis, instrumental and comparative analysis of handwriting, typewriting, printing processes and stamp impressions.I have additional expertise in the detection of “cut and “paste” signatures in photocopies and nondestructive ink and paper differentiation.
